AI have a client who wants a THREE layer 14" cake. It seems to me, like the cake (with filling & frosting) may be too heavy to support itsself. Can this be done without supports?
AMy cakes are 4 layers of 1" cake. I do as large as 16" & have no trouble.

3 layers would be 3 - 1" layers, no? That shouldn't crush your cake.

right, but the diameter of the cake shouldn't make a difference. Unless I'm missing something

AThank u all. My layers are about 1.5 inches thick. I just wasn't sure since I usually do just two layers. So I was checking with the experts :-) thanks again.
