mycakeschool.com  has a tutorial on a big ruffle flower that you can use to guide you

AAny luck with a tutorial for this ruffled rosette tier? I also am making a cake with type design. The only one I saw on mycakeschool.com was for a buttercream rosette

go back to mycakeschool.com and search big ruffle flower.  that will give you the basic idea.  It is not a video tutorial, just regular tutorial.  You might have to be a member to access it.

I figured it out on my own, it's not too difficult buy it does take patience and practice to get it how you like it.  This is a dummy cake I was practicing on my own.

AI actually was watching a Cake Boss episode a few weeks back and they did the rosette exactly how I want so I was able to watch it that way!

ADo you happen to know what episode of cake boss it was? This season, or an older one?

AIt was the season. It was called submarine buttercream or something like that. It's not a very long explanation but it was just enough for me!
