I need to make a cake and on the cake i have to do a moon made out of rice krispies. Does anyone know of a tutorial to,create the texture effect of the moon?I was thinking to do it royal icing instead of sugarpaste to have a more real effect. Then the trickiest part is probably dusting it to get the realeffect. Anyone has a tutorial or at least a photo would help. I saw a lot of photos on the net with sp but didnt like them at all. Thanks for your help

I've seen a cake show before (possibly Ace of Cakes or Cake Boss) where the texture of the moon was "spackled" using royal icing. Basically wear a food safe glove, pick up some royal icing in your hand, slap it on the cake and pat it quickly all over so it covers the cake but leaks little peaks in random places.

Forgot to add, cover your cake in fondant first.
