I am doing a 2 tiered wedding cake this weekend and want them touching. Should I still put a board inbetween or some type of support?

AAbsolutely! I have learned the hard way even on things that aren't wedding cakes that if it is more than 2 cake lsyers, it needs a suppost structure. The weight of the cake will make the bottom layer collapse. It's a somewhat annoying step but it will save you a lot of headache/heartache in the future.

Yes.  I'd advise knowing how WAY before offering to make a wedding cake.
