I have no experience in sugar work, so I'm looking for alternatives on how to make the rainbow road circling the round cake??
My only thought right now was fondant/gumpaste but I'm worried about the shape and the stability.
Any thought s or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

My next thought is to use the jolly rancher lollipop method using a little butane torch.
Would lining them in an 8" round pan and melting them with the torch in there destroy my pan and is there anything I can line it with to keep it from sticking?
