Hi- I have to make this vintage baseball theme baby shower cake in August. My friend sent me some pictures of cakes that were actually covered in white fondant and made to look aged- probably airbrush or dry brushed some cocoa on the fondant? My question is, if I wanted to use white SMBC instead- does anyone know how I could make it look aged or vintage? Thanks!

AIt would help if you showed a picture of what you are going for.

You're probably going to need to use the fondant if that's the effect you're going for. I use SMBC and I definitely use fondant for effects like this. Yes, probably cocoa powder or airbrushing, just like you mention, which must be done on fondant.
