What do you guys use to do the crumb coat before putting the fondant over the cake?

I've heard of people that use jelly, buttercream, ganache, which one is the best?

I did a course at Planet Cake in Australia and they ganache all there cakes. 

I also ganache all my cakes, everyone loves it!
