AHi guys what I need to know if I'm going to double a cake mixture do I lower the oven temp and cook longer or turn the oven up and cook shorter ?

ABe patient, you only posted your original message 30 minutes ago!

I would say never turn the heat up and bake for less time. Depending on the size of the pan you may want to turn down the heat and bake for longer though. How big is your pan?

Heat down and bake longer, consider; a larger volume of batter needs longer for the middle to reach a temperature high enough to 'cook'- if theoven is too hot the outside will burn before the middle is anywhere near up to temperature.

If you want a faster bake, bake in single layers rather than one big cake that you slice up.
