I posted a question earlier regarding royal icing my whole furby cake - no replies maybe because this was such a crazy idea!!?? - too hard to crack through!!  so can someone please tell me which frosting is best to cover my 3D cake.  It has to have the appearance of fur  (which is why I don't want to use fondant) and be PURE white!! (can do pale pink if desperate!!)  And be able to be transported - I don't want much!!

Please help or I will have a very disappointed 4 year old on Sunday!!  Fingers crossed!! icon_cry.gif

Why not just use buttercream?? If it's too yellow for your liking you can add the tiniest little dab of violet to cancel out the yellow and turn the buttercream pure white.

And that way you won't have to worry about breaking peoples teeth icon_biggrin.gif

I don't know quantities, I'm afraid, so you'd have to Google it, but adding  glycerin stops it setting absolutely rock solid.
