It's very difficult for most of us to hear negative feedback about ourselves.  Sometimes such negative feedback is malicious and best ignored and sometimes, while it sounds harsh, it is intended as positive critique for the purpose of our own personal growth.   I would suggest you take some time to reflect on the responses people give you that are about what you can do differently in the future as that is the only thing you have any control over.  In time you might find some of the negative feedback was not worth listening to but you might also find that some of it was the most helpful responses you received.

Best of luck with everything,

AI know that the impression I got from your original posts was that you were not going to do the cake because you didn't have the time or the funds and you needed help with getting her to understand that.

If it's just that your constant explaining to her about how hard and stressful this is on you hasn't gotten the appreciation from her that you wanted, well some people are just ungrateful. She's not going to change so stop letting it annoy you so much, take it as a lesson in what happens when you make drunken promises and move on!
