Hi .Â I was wondering when you cover cupcakes with fondant what do you use? Water, buttercream... I have a non crusting buttercream that I use and was wondering should I use that or water to adhere the fondant to the cupcake?
Buttercream, VERY LIGHTLY misted with water. The fondant has to have something to make it stick to the cupcake.
Just the buttercream is fine, no need for water, since it is non crusting the fondant will stick to it just fine.
Just buttercream is all I use (and I use a crusting buttercream!!)
