Hi All

I have had a last minute cake order for next week - a bride is wanting to surprise her husband with a cake for his birthday the following day

She wants a replica of his vespa scooter - i have attached the image she sent me

My query is how to create the front upright bit going to the handle bars

I was thinking piping but i am not sure - I have never did a cake like this before

Any advise is greatly appreciated

thanks

Clare

Just use gum paste but make it ASAP as it'll need time to dry nice n strong else the weight of the handles will distort it when you assemble. And make spares just in case, if you make spares you'll not need em but if you only make one it'll break!

Good luck, looks a great project I'm jealous!! lol
