I have been asked to make a cake for my friend who is retiring.   They want it to be her driving off into the sunset with papers flying out of the windows.    I was wondering if any of you had any ideas how to achieve that effect (papers flying)?

Any ideas would be VERY helpful!   Thank you.

AI'm torn between two direction really: either a 3d car slightly tapered to exaggerate the perspective of it driving away, I'd attach a 2nd cake board vertically and hand paint on a sunset. crumple up some very thin pieces of gp for the paper.

A 2d idea would work with the sunset painted on the top of the cake then a 2d car silhouette atop that and again thin gp paper flying out the windows...

Hope that helps :-)

Thank you.  I was leaning towards your first idea exactly.   I was having problems trying to figure out how to make the papers look like they were flying through the air.  :)
