I ordered an edible image for my neices 8th birthday this weekend. If I make the cake friday, can  put the cake in the fridge (for about 24 hours) for her party on Saturday?? My main question is, how long will the image last on a cake??

A week or more, in my own (limited) experience, depending on the frosting. Basically, the image slowly blurs, and the colors slowly shift. But also, you need to realize that the image takes several hours to fully bond with the frosting, to where it won't rip when cut, and that if you're applying it to a crusting BC, you want to do it before it starts to crust. 24 hours is probably right in the middle of your ideal window: long enough for the image to bond, but not so long that it has a chance to degrade noticeably.

Of course, the pros might disagree.
