I am looking into the flavors I want for my wedding cake which is going to be a 4 tier cake with the following layers:
6" - Red Velvet
9" - Spice Cake
12" - Vanilla Cake
14" - Chocolate Cake
Has anyone worked with Devils food cake before and would this work as my bottom "Chocolate" layer or do I need something more dense?
You can make any cake flavor denser but it really isn't necessary. The internal support system is what will hold the tiers up not the cake its self.
