i'm suffering from a little bit of pastry chef's block and working on compiling a monster list of flavor combinations to whittle down into a final list for my pastry business. i'm just trying to get the culinarily creative juices flowing.

what are some of your personal favorites as far as flavor combinations go? i have a heavy list of signature cakes, i'm just wondering what the palates of the collective cake community go for?

is there anything that you feel is a staple cake for a baker?

let's talk cake flavors, combinations, and styles, friends.

My favorite of all time was a chocolate chip cheesecake cupcake. I wish I could say it was mine. They had a layer of cheesecake on the bottom. Was absolutely delicious. Other than that.

1. Strawberry with lemon curd filling

2. Banana pudding

3. Key lime
