I am using a MMF recipe that I find diffcult at times. It seems sticky and when I addmore PS it seems too dry. I think it is the recipe I am using. Looking for one that tastes good and works well. Thanks
AThat's the problem with mmf; it's not easy to work with. Most likely, your recipe is fine. I only use it when I'm in a pinch.
If you firmly believe that the recipe is the problem, we'd need to know what recipe you're using.
If it is too dry and crumbly use glycerin and shortening.
I did add a little shortening to it and it seemed to work better until I was smoothing the top of my cake, it stuck to it and would not come off without tearing it. I do like the look of the fondant when it is rolled using PS.
AI have recently begun to add a tablespoon of light corn syrup to my MMF and find that it has greatly improved the pliability of the fondant and dispensed with the problem of dryness as well.
