That looks like it might actually be a real diamond ring.
AMaybe. But there are edible ones...do you know how they are made?! And the box??
I don't use fondant so can't help you. Try google. For example, I would try: fondant ring box cake central or fondant box cake central
AHere's a tutorial on both the box and a ring: http://www.globalsugarart.com/tutorial.php?sheetid=77 HTH
Wow, that is a really neat tutorial!! I am going to be keeping that one handy for the future; thinking my youngest daughter is getting close to that point of her life.
AGlad it helped! Makes it easier when it's explained this well. Enjoy!
AOmg thanks a million!! You came to my rescue!!
The Royal Bakery has many excellent tutorials for free via Facebook! She has one for a 4' cake just like the picture you posted (except in a Tiffany style). Good luck!
I also think the ring looks real.
AThanks so much smckinney07
AYour welcome, can't wait to see it
A Heres my version (with loads of fondant still in the baxkground)
AIt turned out nicely. It looks really good! I love the heart shape and how you made it your own! Totally looks like a real ring box!!!
AAw thanks very much! xxx
