I'm looking for a yellow and chocolate recipe that rises to the same height.  I have to make a full sheet cake, 1/2 chocolate and 1/2 yellow.  does anyone have recipes they've used together that they can share with me?

I don't have any recipes to share, but I was thinking: couldn't you just use a leveler to cut a bit off of one if it got a little higher than the other? (Just a thought. Maybe it's a dumb one!)

Not quite sure what to make of the question.

Is it to be two sheet cakes set atop each other as layers? Set side-by-side and frosted as if one cake? Checkerboard? Two different batters poured into the same pan, but not marbled?

"dawnybird" beat me to this one:

While I've never used a cake leveler (I expect cakes to be domed, and find perfectly flat tops a bit unnatural-looking!), this sounds like the sort of situation that definitely calls for one.
