How thick should I make my layer of SMB to go under fondant?

AI apply just as much as a cake that would not have fondant.

ASounds good. Thank you. my client isnt thrilled about covering the cake in fondant, but in order for my fondant decorations to stay and for convenience and my sanity lol it just has to be , so I assured her that there would be lots of icing available for this that want to peel the fondant off :)

I just gently inform them that if they want this (whatever it is) design, fondant will be necessary. And I don't budge. When you make delicious fondant, it's usually an easy sell too.
