Has anyone tried to make the buttercream icing like this

you take and pour 2bags of csugar into your mixer then water and let it sit for a while then add 1/3 of you high ratio shortening into the mixer and start mixing it then you let it mix and then add your flavorings and popcorn salt and the rest of your shortening, and let it mix untill all the lumps are gone.

I saw this on You Tube , If anyone has made this on CC please let me know how it turned out.
