I am making my first ever petal cake for my daughter's dance recital, but I will be very busy the day before the recital.  Has anyone ever made the fondant petals several days ahead of decorating the cake or do they dry out too fast?  If I store them, should they go in an airtight container?  I should know this but I don't....

Hi, its no problem to make it several days before.

Put it into a box. It's no problem so they dont dry out
