I tried this white cake recipe and it worked great for cupcakes, but the sheet cake isn't rising. I thought maybe my baking powder was a little old so I bought more, same problem. The same thing has happened to me with a chocolate recipe. Now I use one for cupcakes and one for cake. My cupcake recipe is VERY thin. Almost like water.
ATry A Better White Cake by FromScratchSF. Google it. It's gotten many rave reviews on this site. You could also search the threads for discussions on white cake recipes.
