I am a very novice baker, who only bakes for my immediate family's birthdays. I want to try and do a cake covered in fondant for my daughter's third birthday that is in a few weeks. I have worked with fondant a few times and am fairly comfortable about the basics of it. My problem/question is this: Her birthday party will be held outside. It will be under a covered pavillion, but it can get quit hot and humid this time of year and I am worried about the fondant and/or the frosting under it melting and the whole cake turning into one big mess. Any ideas/help to keep this from happening? I would appreicate any tips/trick/directions/etc. that anyone has to help me with this. Thank you so much!
