AI am baking a cross out of a 12x18x2 cake and don't know where I can get a cheaper board. Does Michaels sell them??

It really depends on the store. You can call your local store and ask. I usually get my cake boards from Walmart since it is so much closer to my house.

I get foam boards from the dollar store, you may need to stack a few sheets to get the 2'' H but the sheets are huge. Sorry can't remember the dimensions.I cover with fondant. HTH

Use an exacto knife to cut the boards to size.
