Oh definitely!!  I once made a very "sweet" chicken pot pie...icon_biggrin.gif  It was hilarious, thankfully it was just for my husband and sister.  It was a bummer, because my chicken pot pie is really good, but only the savory version!!

And dry gumpaste mix (plus water) will never whip up nice and fluffy like meringue powder (plus water) will.

I had a coworker make salty cookies. Like, REALLY salty cookies. Unbearably salty cookies.

We set them out as a trap for our other coworkers.

AAlso, using custard powder on your work surface instead of corn flour will result in yellow-spotted fondant.. Did that for a week :P

Once my aunt Margaret was making gravy and couldn't get it to thicken. Yes, she was using powdered sugar instead of flour. We didn't eat it, but we've been teasing her about it ever since. Shame on us.

hehe, it keeps things interesting, at least.

I had a baking soda/cream of tartar mix up with a batch of IMBC, came very close to serving it to a potential client too.

I love custard too and sometimes eat it right out of the pan, haha. It was extremely perplexing though, making yellow polka-dotted cows and not knowing why! icon_biggrin.gif

My mother once fed my dad a nice beef stew, which they later discovered to be dog food (beefy chunks in gravy - yummy!)

On the plus side, he had beautiful shiny hair and a healthy wet nose.

When my kids were pre-teens, I was making homemade pancakes one morning.  Well, for some reason I used salt instead of sugar...don't ask me why.  Fortunately, I was able to remedy the pancakes with sugar (lots of it!), and now my grown kids always remind me how those were the best pancakes I ever made.  A silver lining...with salt!  icon_biggrin.gif

Label.  Definitely.  There was a lady on the Gold Coast last week who was given 1/4 cup of draino instead of vinegar, by mistake, to cure her hiccups.  She was still in Intensive Care last I heard.
