AHello! I have a 2 dozen order for Hello Kitty Nerd cake pops, my Wilton food writer markers are horrible. The black pen colors gray. I need black for Hello Kitty's eyes, whiskers & glasses. I've used clear vanilla mixed with black color gel for fondant but never on cake pops dipped in candy melts. Has anyone tried this method on candy melts? Thank you!

AI don't like the look of piped royal icing or piped candy melts

What I did was use either color gel and paint on the pops with a  very fine paintbrush OR you can melt candy melts and paint that on.

I've always used melted chocolate or candy melts. I draw details on with a toothpick first to give me a template and follow with the chocolate. If you mess up, chill it, scrape it off and start over. :)
