Hi! This is a crown cake for a Big Bang (Korean band) fan. It was my first time covering a cake with corners everywhere and I didn't know where to start. What I ended up doing was to cover it in parts and try to smooth out the seams in between. Didn't help that it was one of the hottest and most humid days in awhile (35 Celsius). I quite like how it looked up till the ganache stage.
In the end, the birthday girl loved it and the person who asked for it was happy too. But I'd like to know for next time, how would you have approached this?
