I have been asked to make a 2d horse cake for 30 people and I am having trouble figuring out how big I should make it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also if anyone has made one before how much did you charge?

Thanks so much

Happy baking

If you're looking 2x1" slices and just doing the horses head I'd do an 8" square, if you're doing a lot of carving you could go with a 9 or 10".

For 1x1" servings a 6" square would probably do.

If you're doing the whole horse go oblong; a 7x11 should give you 30-35 slices; carve it into the body & head then just do the legs in fondant or Modeling choc.

I'd charge £135 for the 7x11"
