I had a major bag blowout and don't have enough fondant to redo it all...Anybody got any ideas how to fix this? Help me please!!!!
Is it just food coloring on the icing? Use vodka and a paper towel or a paintbrush and GRADUALLY work it off. the vodka will dissolve the sugar if you put too much on at a time, but it will take it off eventually. You might not be able to get it all off, though, that's a big spot.
I don't have any vodka...:(...All I have is spiced rum and Jack Daniels...will one of those work?
I don't think so. Vodka is clear, your rum is brown. It might stain more.
you can try to use water if you're desperate, just make sure you use VERY LITTLE or it will melt everything.
AIf I didn't have vodka then I would try to cut out the stain spot and patch it with a piece the same size as the piece I cut out then using a ball tool try and smooth it. Have plenty of crisco and some fondant paste to smooth it out. Save the JD for when you are done, you'll need it. LOL. Good luck.:)
