AHi I am making a skatepark themed cake and was going to use florist wire for the grind rail (don't know if that's the proper name for it lol) don't like the idea of inserting wire straight into the cake can I insert these into cake then the wire into them

I have used a straw and filled it with buttercream and then inserted the wire into it. I have also read that you can dip the wire into melted chocolate so the wire won't be touching the cake. Good Luck!

Florist wire is definitely NOT "Good Eats."

It seems to me that the steel skewers out of a turkey lacing kit should be perfectly food-safe, and so should wire made for orthodontic work.

But other than that, there is a pinned topic all about sticking wires in cakes.
