I have a customer who's budget is $70. She wants a single tier Doc McStuffin cake with her face on it. See 2nd tier on the first image. She also wants 30 cupcakes with Doc McStuffin fondant tools on each cupcake. See image 2.. Is it me, or is this just unrealistic? what would you charge?

A30 cupcakes with those decorations would be around $80. The smallest cake would be around $50. That, of course, is just me. I wouldn't do it anyway because of the copyright issue.

ACopyright issues? Can you fill me in, I am unaware of this.

If you do not obtain permission to use a copyright image/character on your cake you can get in a lot of trouble from the copy right owner.  You have two options for getting around this.... 1. use store bought toys or 2. obtain permission.  this can be costly and time consuming if you are even able to do it.  HTH.

as far as pricing goes... she is out to lunch! that much work is worth way more than $70.  I am with the second response!
