Hi fellow cake decorators!  I need some help,   I need to make a dark but bright blue butter cream  (Not a navy blue) a true blue color.  In the past when I try its kinda like making red I add the blue to the white BC and get a sky blue or light blue any suggestions on how to get it a good blue color?  Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

I've made dark colored royal and BC before by replacing some of the liquid (for me, heavy cream) with the color of choice.  It has worked well for me and hasn't really changed the taste considerably.

I use Americolor Royal Blue gel color. It has a lot of pigment and you can add more or less depending on the shade of blue you are trying to achive.
