I have a 12",9",6" for tomorrow. 50th wedding anniversary. I only have 8" and 6" SPS plates. Can I use the 8" plate with the 9" tier or do I need to alter my design to 12", 8", 6"? This would bring me under the 100 servings they asked for.

AThose plates are fine. I've used them. The difference is very small & the columns will still support everything.
