Help! Looking To Buy A Canon For Edible Ink Use
Decorating By jamie may24 Updated 25 Jun 2017 , 1:07pm by icingimages
I am looking for the latest Canon printer that can be used with edible ink/paper. One suggested on KopyKake is the Canon MG5320. But when I search for it, I keep getting the MG5420. Is the MG5420 the upgrade from the MG5320? If so, can the MG5420 be used with edible ink used in the MG5320?
Just got a 5320 on Amazon last week and I just checked and there is one left for $87.00!
Try walmart.com
What is happening is that this is a technological gap. The newest printers have new chip technology that the cartridge manufactures for edible inks (all companies) have not caught up to. So the older printers are becoming scarce which is driving prices up and supply is way down. I did see some at walmart.com for cheap so go get them while they are still in stock...if they are. The only one that is still out there is the canon MG5320 the ip4920 prices are very high. We still have both products in stock, but if you are not looking to get them from an edible printing company, than try Walmart online.
Hello All
In need of current regular/wide carriage printers to consider. It has been some time since this discussion was broached. Kindly share ideas for edible image printer in 2017. Thank you

Not much has changed except printer model numbers. Current printer model numbers are listed at and then click on www.icingjmages.com and Then click on the edible printer. The chips as listed above are still around and we have adapted to them and have virtual no problems with them. The most important factor is still the edible ink. Don't chance cheap supplies. The ink is the heart of the printer and if you use cheap edible ink you will have problems. Please let me know if there is a specific question I can answer for you!
