I am making a cake for a little boy's birthday in a couple of weeks. Today we got word that my husband's grandmother may be having surgery the week I would be making the cake. We would probably have to leave on Wednesday and not come back until the weekend. The party is on Saturday. Is Tuesday to Saturday way too long for a fondant cake to sit? Would it be okay or better in the fridge? I am trying to do what I can to keep my commitment to the little boy since I made his sister's cake and because he has been so excited every time we talk about it but obviously, family comes first. Any ideas would be very helpful! Thanks!
