I am making a high heel, army boot cake topper for a wedding cake this saturday. I was wondering if anyone could help with the army boot.

I would make the boot out of Rice Krispie treats.

Then smooth in melted chocolate melts.  Then just apply a little very thin royal icing to help it stick and cover in fondant.

It can be made way ahead of time and is easy to carve
