AHi. I have never done this before but thought I would try to make spiral lollipops for my sons birthday this year rather than buy them. I found a recipe for them and tried it. It called for pulling it until it shined when it was cool enough to handle but by then it just became stringy and wouldn't form. Does anyone have suggestions for being able to make a lollipop?

unfortunatly you cant really waiting until its cool enought to handle. When I make them I use a silpat mat to knead it.

AWould a regular silicone mat work? That's all I have
