I am making a two tiered cake that is supposed to feed 60 people, I used round cake forms that are 21 cm. and 26 cm. or 8.3 inches on top and 10.2 on bottom and I am getting worried that it won't be enough, I found this out first before I baked the circles and I am baking three cakes for each tier to put together. Should I make an extra cake or? Will this sizes look good stacked or did a make a mistake and need to bake new cakes :/
AI believe you will have plenty of cake. I would use the same size pans for that. I like the look of the tiers being close in size.
Hey, you did a great job!! I love the purple!! The cake looks fabulous!!!!
Does anyone else agree that this is enough cake or should I make an extra round cake for to have in case?
AAn 8" round serves 20 and a 10" round serves 28 (based on 1.5"x2" party size servings) so I don't think you will have enough for 60 people, unless some people don't have cake. If I were you I would make another 8".
6-8-10 is 65. If you MUST make a two tier (which I wouldn't for so many servings), then a 7-11 will give you your 60.
I already baked the 10 inch and 8 inches, maybe I should just add an 6 inch on top? to be sure
AIt really depends on the event. Is this a wedding where the cake will be cut by professionals at the venue, or a birthday party where Mom will be cutting the cake? Will there be any other desserts at the event?

This is a confirmation, there is food and then it ends with cake for the guests- I think I will just add a 6 inch on top making it a three tiered cake and then
I should be safe right? :)
You should definitely have enough cake! Whenever I make a 20cm and a 25cm I can get 70 pieces out of it, so 60 should be no problem at all. Good luck :)
Great, also may I ask, what colors would you say the cake here above has, it does not look as white, more kinda grayish, what would you recommend using. And since I am asking, how should I make the top tier look since I am adding it to the design :) Maybe all purple with her name and date in the sides? Any ideas would be great :)
How about a 6 inch white with purple bubbles?
Yes, that's a good idea :)
Great, I'll relax :)
Also, would you say that the white color is grayish or?? Just wondering how I can get that color or should I make it just white and purple :)
