I have my 1st 1/2 sheet cake customer order coming up and I'm looking for an awesome, moist, flavorful chocolate cake recipe!
I love the Deluxe Devil's food cake recipe on the Softasilk cake flour box (and I have tried many recipes). Â I frequently make it in an 11 x 15 pan. Â 1.5 times the recipe is perfect for that size pan. Â For a half sheet cake (12 x 18) Â doubling it should be perfect. Â This has a very deep chocolate flavor, but is not dense. Â It is also Â easy to make. Â For your size pan, I would recommend several heat core nails, and would wrap the outside with bake even strips. Â Good luck!

DELUXE DEVILâS FOOD CAKE
Notes:Â 3Â 9â layers
1.5 times the recipe for 11 x 15 pan
2 cups sugar (14 oz)
2 sticks (8 ounces) softened butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Â¾ teaspoon almond extract
2 large eggs
2 Â½ cups (8.75 oz, 250 grams) cake flour, sifted if measured by volume
1 cup special dark Hersheyâs cocoa
2 teaspoons baking soda
Â½ teaspoon salt
2 Â¼ cups buttermilk room temperature (full fat, not low fat if available)

I love the Hershey's perfectly chocolate cake, but it is so moist that is sticks to my pans and I had a stacked cake that crumbled while being delivered....thank goodness is was a free cake!! Do you know if the weddingsforyou website's cake is good for stacking?
It is! It's very good for stacking, carving and it's like a signature cake for weddings to.
