Hi all, My names Aly, new to this site so please bear with me.
I have a good friends 21st coming up, She would light a Midsummers Night Dream themed cake. For anyone who is not familar with this it is a well known shakespeare play. its very beautiful with faries, elves, and the like. She has requested butterflies, realistic looking butterflies. i have chosen gelatin buterflies as they look very real. i have made them in a small silicone mould before and while they looked good it was difficult. getting a "gelatin veining mat" is proving to hard as i wont get it for quite some time. i need to start now, so my question is is there ANYONE here who has made gelaten butterflies successfully without a veining mat?
