AI did a huge pile of icecream balls with nuts and fudge sauce and fruits all hidden in the layers... It's hard to explain but I made a tall cardboard tube, lined with baking paper, drop in a layer of scoops and then a topping, then more scoops and another topping... Up and up till you run out of icecream or space. It then goes in a chest freezer overnight. just before serving slide off the tube add hot fudge and giant sparklers! I planned on serving it out but people just dived in!

You just make her favorite cake. Then you take ice cream (her favorite) and let it soften enough to spread in between cake layers. I would put back in freezer to harden up the ice cream again. Then I would take out and frost once ice cream hardens up. Then keep in freezer again

I have never made an ice cream cake before and I am just guessing at how I would do it. Hopefully, someone else will either confirm what I think or tell you a better way to do it. Good luck/Mary
