Hi Everyone! I've never had to ship a cake and I just received my first out of state cake order. It's not a huge cake or anything. But I do have some questions..

1. I've read to freeze the cakes before shipping.. I'm covering it in fondant (which you're not supposed to freeze) What would anyone recommend I do for this?

2. I also read that some people shrink wrapped or wrapped the cake with plastic wrap.. would that be okay to do with the fondant. I'm curious if once its packaged and in the box if the fondant might start to sweat? lol that sounds funny.

Overall... I have a general idea of how to ship the cake. I'm just very nervous! Here's a picture of the cake they ordered. I would really appreciate any advice/suggestions from anyone who has shipped a cake. Thanks!
