hi i m new on this  ,,,i have a problem. I prepare the isomalt and after a few days, it turns opaque and with white dots. 

Please  someone help me!

are you heating it to the right temperature?

 

some of that stuff doesn't last long

 

and sometimes it does last forever

 

are you using white food color or any food color?

 

you want to add it while it's still coming to temp to boil off any water

 

so many variables

 

very tempermantal medium

 

what do you think the white spots are? bubbles?

 

you can get bubbles out with a blow torch

 

it's one of those things that you have to have a great teacher

 

and lots of experience handling it and the right products

 

but it can be more of a last minute thing to help ensure best results

 

certainly there are peeps who can do it in their sleep but there's a learning curve

 

like you didn't know that already - but keep practicing and practicing etc etc

AIt may just be a matter of location and improper storage....

The white dots I don't know about, but you can usually get the shine back by rubbing it with some vegetable oil.
