hi i m new on this ,,,i have a problem. I prepare the isomalt and after a few days, it turns opaque and with white dots.
Please someone help me!
are you heating it to the right temperature?
some of that stuff doesn't last long
and sometimes it does last forever
are you using white food color or any food color?
you want to add it while it's still coming to temp to boil off any water
so many variables
very tempermantal medium
what do you think the white spots are? bubbles?
you can get bubbles out with a blow torch
it's one of those things that you have to have a great teacher
and lots of experience handling it and the right products
but it can be more of a last minute thing to help ensure best results
certainly there are peeps who can do it in their sleep but there's a learning curve
like you didn't know that already - but keep practicing and practicing etc etc
AIt may just be a matter of location and improper storage....
The white dots I don't know about, but you can usually get the shine back by rubbing it with some vegetable oil.
