I have my first wedding cake for this weekend and the bride has asked for a red velvet cake! I haven't made one before and was hoping someone would be able to help me! AIt works very well. A lot of people recommend cakeman ravens recipe but the MS recipe is almost identical. I cut the oil back 1/4 cup and add more red food coloring than the recipe calls for. Otherwise it's more of a brown velvet. Make sure you use the Wilton no taste red. People rave over it.
