AI love cupcakes and cake, but, cookies, well I just haven't exactly learned how to decorate them so well. Any advice or tips or tricks? Thanks!!
try rolled buttercream for cookies--cut it out like you cut out the cookie & freeze it while cookies bake then place on hot cookie--can be impressed with lace molds & stuff before freezing
another way-- try loosening up the cookie dough with milk or water to piping consistency and pipe some decor onto the cookie before baking-- it spreads a little but it's a cool technique

K8: I'd like to try the first idea you mentioned -- do you have a good rolled BC recipe you'd be willing to share? Thanks!

AThanks for all the help! Am going to make rolled buttercream and try to do piping cookies, they sound like great ideas! And thanks for the quote, thats so true!
sure you can
hmm i've never done it though
and the devil is in the details with cake deco
and the royal should stick on there --no reason why it shouldn't
so i'm giving it a definite maybe
it's easy to test it though & post your results if you want
ADoes anyone ever put fondant on sugar cookies? The rolled buttercream does that hold edible images good and would it ship well :)
I have to ship 100 cookies in the mail and want to know should I go fondant, RI, or rolled buttercream?
