I love decorating with fondant but hate covering the whole cake in fondant. How do I store a cake that is iced and then decorated with fondant decor? Can I keep it covered on the counter or in the fridge? I would think I'd have to cover it one way or the other b.c. if I don't the icing would dry out. I know if you decorate the whole cake in fondant to store it on the counter NOT in the fridge. Also, how do you store a fondant cake once you have cut into it?? I never cover mine until after I cut it but then you have to or else the cake will dry out but when I cover it my fondant decorations start to go limp b.c. moisture gets to it. Thanks for the help.
