ADoes anyone have any advice on how I can make my cupcakes more dense. I doctor up cake mixes and while the flavor is great, their just too light.
I was just experimenting with mixes yesterday for a last minute cake, I don't usually use them.
I used an extra egg, (whole eggs instead of just whites), some pudding mix and melted butter instead of oil, they came out nice and thick without being too dense.
I was reading that making them according to the box, but adding an extra egg and a cup of sour cream works well too.
