I have a cake request order for tomorrow morning (yikes!) and I was sent a photo of a cake that has rhinestones around a layer, but I would like to keep it all edible...I was wondering if there are any tricks to getting a "diamond" look without using fake stones, or even actual sugar gems?  Would piping gel and edible glitter work to make it sparkle?

I couldn't get the sprinkles in time, but it sent me on a different mind set at least so I could do it! I ended up piping royal around and painting it with silver dust and then sprinkling on silver glitter....not too bad. I am going to try and stock up on stuff, but I haven't found a great website yet with low shipping!
