I was asked to make a cake with pinecones and snowflakes. Any suggestion on the snowflakes. I have seen posts regarding molds and never tried these before. I was thinking of purchasing the snowflakes but think I would rather make them so I can use on other cakes I make. This is for a wedding so I want them to look nice and neat. I am worried if I make them out of royal they wont.
Thanks in advance I appreciate it!
You won,t regret purchasing pme showflake cutters They come in 3 sizes. Made them for my sisters b/c in January. Sprinkled show white disco dust on them. Beutiful. They were made from g/p. She took them off before she cut it. hth
i pipe mine out of chocolate--i just can't get around the fact that the choco melts in your mouth like snowflakes
and granted my internal style is def shabby chic so that 'handcrafted' look of the piping works for me
but it's a thought for you--just place waxed paper over different patterns & pipe--no two are alike!!!
come on work with me here snowflakes are a shabby chic-ers paradise decoration!
you can get them pretty delicate too and still be sturdy
you could add some of those teensy tiny non-pareilietls however you spell it
and/or sprinkle with blue/white/opal/silver/gold sanding sugar for that icy effect--sticks right on there
you could use bigger non-parelieiouses to set on the points
i love piped choc snowflakes
